Mr. Joseph Lynch, Chairman and Secretary

 

Joseph is a former Ambassador of Ireland who had a number of postings in the Arab world.  He helped establish the first Embassy of Ireland in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah in 1976 and retained a strong interest in Ireland-Saudi relations.




Mr. Kevin Cleary, Director

 

Kevin is the Senior Vice President - Business Development at daa International.  daa International is the global airport operations, advisory services and training division of daa (formerly Dublin Airport Authority).  daa International provides airport management contract services, strategic advisory services and accredited airport operations training.  daa International is currently engaged in a number of projects with airport clients in GCC states.

Mr. Terry Clune, Director

 

Terry founded Taxback Group while studying business at Trinity College. His company now employs over 1,000 staff in 20 countries. He is a former winner of the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, and the HSBC European Entrepreneur Award. Taxback’s software integrates into leading ERP systems to identify and recover reclaimable taxes paid by companies while on business overseas.  In 2012, Terry launched ConnectIreland, a government & IDA backed program which gives everybody the chance to help attract companies and jobs to Ireland.  ConnectIreland was recognised at the recent Financial Times Global FDI awards, winning 4 of the 15 categories.

Mr. Padraig Fitzpatrick, Director

 

Padraig’s business connections with Saudi Arabia extend back to 1999 when he first joined the Saudi Industrial Development Fund. He returned to Ireland in 2008 to pursue some family business interests. However, he maintained a strong link with Saudi Arabia though contract/advisory roles with the Al-Zamil Group, Mainstream Renewable Power, the Al-Nahla Group and Jaguar Capital. In 2012 he returned to the Saudi Industrial Development Fund, as Credit Team Leader, where he is currently employed.

Mr. Godfrey Fletcher, Director

Godfrey Fletcher is the Chairman of the Vu2Vu Group of Companies and CEO of Vu2Vu Ireland Ltd. Vu2Vu provides global hosted video conferencing and application sharing with a particular interest in integrating video communication technology into health care applications. Godfrey is also the Chairperson of the Irish Platform for Patient Organisations, Science and Industry (IPPOSI). He is CEO of the Cystic Fibrosis Registry of Ireland and a member of the National Clinical Programme for Cystic Fibrosis Working Group and a Steering Committee Member of the European Cystic Fibrosis Society Patient Registry and served on the Technical Committee that selected and implemented a new multi-centre pan European registry technology last year. He also served on the HSE’s National Neonatal Screening Working Group and the HSE’s multi-disciplinary Working Group that published the Report “Services for People with Cystic Fibrosis”. Godfrey is also a consultant to the Irish Skin Foundation and is assisting them in the establishment of a registry for Severe Atopic Dermatitis. He is also Co-Chair of the ICT Sub Group of the Ireland Saudi Arabia Business Council. He is also Chairman of IQgistics Corporation, Austin Texas. Godfrey has over 35 years’ experience working in the health sector that has included Ireland, Southern and Central Africa and the USA. He has a keen interest in health technology and telemedicine particularly in hosted high definition video services. Godfrey is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin (B.A. Mod) and has an MBA from Dublin City University.

Mr. Patrick Hogan, Director

 

Pat joined Global Risk Solutions in 2013 as Managing Director Middle East Region having worked in the Private Security Industry for the last 16 years. Prior to joining Global Risk Solutions Patrick was General Manager at a large multinational security solutions company. To date Patrick has held a number of key position within the private security industry including Vice Chairman, Guarding Division Irish Security Industry Association and Committee Member of the European CEN Aviation Security Standards.

Dr. Niall Holohan, Director

 

Niall Holohan retired from the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade in 2014 after five years as Ireland's Ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. He was concurrently Ambassador to Iraq, Bahrain, Oman and Yemen.  Niall had previously been the Irish Government's Representative to the Palestinian Authority in Ramallah from 2002 to 2006 and has also served as a diplomat in Iran, Japan and at the United Nations in New York.




Mr. Andrew Kearney, Director

 

Andrew Kearney has over 20 years experience in the engineering & construction business globally. Andrew is a Board Director of the Sepam Group, and currently Managing Director for Region 1. Andrew has held leadership positions within the group for Saudi Arabia, Thailand, China, Kazakhstan, Ireland and the UK. SEPAM operates in the Middle East, Kazakhstan, China, India, USA and Europe, and delivers Project Management, Engineering, Procurement & Construction solutions for Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Communications and IT works. In addition to being a Board member of ISABC, Andrew is a member of the US Ireland Business Council, American Chamber of Commerce (Ireland), HBS Alumni (Ireland) and HBS Alumni (Texas, USA).

Mr. Michael Looby, Director

 

Founder and Joint Managing Director of engineering consultancy ByrneLooby Partners, Michael is an experienced engineering professional and entrepreneur.  ByrneLooby is a leading design, engineering and project management consultancy, that works with private clients, contractors and government agencies to create practical, buildable and clever solutions in civil engineering in Europe and the Middle East.  In 2012 ByrneLooby completed the acquisition of PH McCarthy a specialist water and infrastructure consultancy which had over 100 years’ experience to form ByrneLooby PH McCarthy.  ByrneLooby was announced a winner of the Deloitte Best Managed Company Awards in 2014.

Dr. Caroline McMullan, Director


Dr Caroline McMullan is the Associate Dean for Teaching and Learning at DCU Business School where she specialises in Emergency, Risk and Business Continuity Management.  Caroline’s teaching and research cover a broad spectrum of subjects including her key interests Building Resilient Communities/Organisations and Risk Perception. 

Caroline oversees three DCU Business School programmes delivered at Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University (PNU) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
